Two Adult sons:  Matt Barker, who is a manager for Marriott, is married to Lauren Vena, and lives in Egg Harbor Twp., New Jersey.

 Kent Barker, who is a medical insurance coding specialist for UNC and lives in New Hill.  

Three step-children:  Scotty Barbour, Amy Barbour, and Cindy Wiggins

Five grandchildren:  Stacy Lowe, Cameron and Gavin Barbour, and Lauren and Charlie Wiggins

Since AHS Graduation: Attended Hardbarger Business College for one year, married, worked for a few years, then took time to spend with my boys.  I then attended Meredith College, earned  a B. S. in Business and  then attended Meredith’s paralegal  (Legal Assistants) program.  I worked for several very rewarding years in the Wake County District  Attorney’s Office as a legal assistant, Child Protection Coordinator, and as legal assistant to the DA and his first assistant.  I retired in 2011.

Hobbies/Interests:  My husband and I enjoy classic cars and car shows.  

Apex Memories:  I remember Mr. Quick walking around with his meter stick.  Peace reigned wherever he went, did it not?

Message To Your Classmates:  I am glad I was at Apex High during a day and time  that allowed me to know all my classmates.  I look forward to seeing you in October!
