Children: 

• Lisa Herndon Mann - daughter; Tim Mann - son-in-law
• Lynn Herndon - died at 5 months due to congenital heart disease; We still continue to miss Lynn and think of her often.

Grandchildren: (Both are wonderful and they make me proud every day!)

• Danielle Mann (age 21) - Fuquay High graduate  2 years ago; played volleyball, basketball and softball; currently a Wake Tech student studying to be a dental hygenist.
• Cameron Mann (age 14) - starting 9th grade at Fuquay High; plays football, basketball and baseball; enjoys online gaming.
• Shelby (age 1) - grandpuppy; Sheltie breed

Since AHS Graduation: 

• Graduated NC State University with BS and Ms degrees in Vocational/Technical Education.
• Taught mechanical and architectural drafting 10 years at Cary High School.
• Vocational/Technical Education administration 20 years primarily with Wake County Schools.
• Retired from Wake County Schools in ‘97.
• Since retirement in ‘97 have worked part-time with several elementary schools in Wake County and Johnston County in the area of computers and technology.
• Still have the Honda Gold Wing motorcycle but seldom ride it.
• I enjoy riding around in my Mazda Miata with the top down or up, depending on the weather!
• Our 2008 Toyota Prius hybrid is the finest car, and most technologically advanced car,  imaginable.
• Trips to Walt Disney World, which we thoroughly enjoy, still give a thrill whether travelling by Gold Wing, Miata or Prius. That resort is truly magical and is the ultimate in technology!

• A little place in the Virginia mountains, near Galax and the Blue Ridge Parkway, gives me a place to go cut grass away from home! It’s so relaxing just to be in the mountains!

Apex Memories:  Classmates; Christa; Coach Garmon; football season; Coach Crouch; riding the fire truck down Main Street during senior homecoming parade; baseball games; Senior Year; eating pizza for the 1st time; working in tobacco; working at Mr. Gilbert’s store; Margaret’s drugstore telephone booth.
