Since AHS Graduation:  Went to UNC-Chapel Hill and Campbell University.  Started highway surveying in 1966 with the then NC State Highway Commission.  Worked for 4 years surveying new Interstate 40 from Meredith College to The Research Triangle Park.  I have had a hand in surveying most every major road in Wake County over the years.  From 1977 to 1986 I helped with the surveying of the Southern leg of the Beltline and I-40 to South of Garner.  In later years, I worked in the office getting out Final Estimates for construction projects.  I retired in 1997.

Hobbies/Interests:  Love flying.  I got my Private Pilot’s license in 1974.  Helen and I have been on several trips across the country.  Mainly enjoy going out West.  I have a Piper Cherokee 180 that I just had painted and a new interior installed.  Love fishing also but not many places to go any more without a boat.  My dad and I used to bass fish a lot together.  

Helen and I love working in the yard and in her flower garden.

Apex Memories:  Dances on Friday night after a ball game. We had some really good teachers at AHS. I will always treasure being a friend of Coach Garmon. Some of the best years of my life were spent at Apex High School.

Message To Your Classmates:  The years have gone by quickly but I will always treasure my time at AHS.
