Since AHS Graduation: English degree from Carolina. Worked NCSU for many years in several areas; last was administrator for Computer Science Department. Retired from UNC’s Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute where I edited a quarterly magazine for the NC early childhood providers and developed and provide training programs across the state.

Hobbies/Interests: Crime fiction.

Reviewed crime fiction for nearly 25 years. Provide monthly library (and other venues) lectures on the genre. Host mystery writers from across the nation and set up mini tours in libraries, bookstores, coffee shops, clubs, etc.

Moderate or serve as panelist at crime fiction conferences across the nation.

Received the Mystery Writers of America’s special Raven Award given for outstanding achievement in the mystery field outside the realm of creative writing in 2012.

Sing with Peak City Singers. Our group was delighted to win the state-wide gold medal at the 2011 Senior Games.
