Since AHS Graduation: Graduated from Campbell College with a BS in Education in 1967 and from East Carolina University with a Masters in Education in 1977 and an Educational Specialist Degree in 1984.  Taught at A.V. Baucom for 2 years where Mr. Quick was my principal.  Then, taught at Angier High School for 7 years and was a principal in Harnett County for 22 years.  Retired from the school system in 1999. After retiring. taught in the Education Dept.at Campbell University and supervised student teachers.  Also, worked part time with Harnett Co. Schools doing classroom observations.

In 2009 had to start kidney dialysis.  Had a kidney transplant at Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore, MD in 2010. My husband donated a kidney to a lady in Baltimore and her daughter donated a kidney to me.  We participated in the paired donor program at Johns Hopkins.  

Hobbies/Interests:  Enjoy grandchildren, reading and traveling

Apex Memories: Wonderful teachers such as Mrs. Cook and Mrs. Reams, those ugly white PE uniforms the girls wore in 9th grade, Miss Newton saying “Rise and pass to the board” and having to stay at the board until I got the problem correct, riding the school bus, proms and ballgames.
